Things to Note:

  • Lana was the best guest dog ever!  And yes, she is named after Archer.
  • Tania, Brandon and Graham are all members of Robot Johnson also (RoJo).
  • We don’t actually have a special call-in portion, but Field was scared we would have because Graham Odom likes to torture him.
  • Fab Movran is the member of Milli Vanilli that is still alive.  Rob Pilatus passed away in 1998.
  • “That British Guy” on Hannibal and husband of Claire Danes is Hugh Dancy.  He plays Will Graham on Hannibal.
  • We are NOT posting the sad scene from Homeland that Field Cantey suggested.  We are not that mean.
  • Carol the Cat is actually the program director for ConCarolinas, if you didn’t know.
  • Randall Park played President Kim in The Interview.
  • Idris Elba will be Heimdall in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
  • Giddygeeker loves Melissa McCarthy and would happily be compared to her.  Mostly.
  • Mat Schantz is actually a lawyer, not just a member of a sketch comedy group – hence why he is glad John Cleese was almost a barrister.
  • Sean Keenan – Field evidently wants to hug you.  You have been warned.

Things to Note:

  • Giddygeeker really does have a problem with words – someone get her some Catnip Tea!
  • We don’t know what Geek Ho’s are, but according to Rule 34 – not only do they exist, they are probably in porn.
  • James Franco’s Documentary on SNL is on Hulu (click here)

  • We apologize to our fans in Gastonia, we do think you are people!

Guardians of the Geekery Episode 5

Things to Note:

  • Graham Odom and Field Cantey are also members of the Robot Johnson family.  We are not sure why Tania hates Graham so much – you should ask her – but be prepared to help her out on the Facebook game Kitchen Scramble because she is evidently addicted.
  • Timothy Omundson was on Psych, Judging Amy, and the 2001 TV Movie The Luck of the Irish. (see a video of him in the trailer below)
  • Robin Lord Taylor plays Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin) on Gotham.
  • For the record, we do not believe that the “main guy” in Age of Ultron is mad because he is voiced by James Spader, no matter what Tania says.
  • Edward James Olmos joins the cast of Agents of SHIELD as Robert Gonzales. Robert Gonzales is not a known character from the MCU (Marvel Comic Universe) so we aren’t sure yet what role he may play.
  • In case you missed it previously, Carol the Cat hates the Elvis song “Blue Christmas.”
  • The management does not acknowledge that we actually have sleeper agents that will attack people like Bernie Gunder who do not listen to our podcast.
  • It is NOT Starneslord’s last show.  No matter what he may say.

Guardians of the Geekery Episode 4

Things to Note:

  • I think we actually did a family-friendly episode – someone must have put out a swear jar.
  • Carol the Cat loves doing air quotes but she doesn’t actually scream at deaf people.
  • Gambit (aka Remy LeBeau ) was played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
  • Henry (Hank) Pym was the original Ant-Man, Pimm’s Cup is the official drink of Wimbledon.  Based on the difference in spelling, we are pretty sure Hank did not create the drink.
  • Clint Eastwood really was in a musical!  The video is below if you dare.
  • The language Giddygeeker was speaking was not Elvish, but Sims 3 – because she was playing a lot of it over the holidays.
  • If you don’t know who Bobby Darin is – we posted a video of him below – check it out!
