Episode 32: Of Bullfrog Mayors and Zombie Authors

For episode 32, author Tonia Brown and Renne Faire regular Michael Stewart joined us as well as our brand new theme intro & outro (thanks Christopher Marion Jones!) 

Tonia Brown is a southern author with a penchant for Victorian dead things. She lives in the backwoods of North Carolina with her genius husband and an ever fluctuating number of cats. She likes fudgesicles and coffee, though not always together. When not writing she raises unicorns and fights crime with her husband under the code names Dr. Weird and his sexy sidekick Butternut.

Michael Stewart, long-time freelance intellectual, has been local to Charlotte since his parents dragged his 6-year-old butt down here from New Jersey in 1967. Most often seen sporting tights and poufy pants or holding a mic, Michael took his love of knowledge, history, and character performance and turned it into an actual steady paycheck. Since 1998, this Renaissance man has been an integral part of the Carolina Renaissance Festival, both behind the scenes and front stage, with most of that time as the Right Honourable Lord Mayor, Sir John Bullfrog. Michael JeopardyIn 2005, he started Merely Players, a husband-and-wife duo who write and host trivia, emcee events, and perform as characters everywhere from the festival to birthday parties to movie theaters and everywhere in-between. This Jeopardy contestant can be seen twice weekly hosting trivia, in his, at DragonCon basking in adoration from Georgia RenFaire-goers or when not cosplaying, as Diligent Husband Man to his cosplaying wife, Kalliste Cosplay. You can catch him in the lanes of Fairhaven Saturdays and Sundays in October and November. Oh, right. He has a Muggle job, too.
