Starneslord and the Giddygeeker attended the opening night of Tartuffe, presented by Shakespeare Carolina and directed by Emmanuel Barbe. The play is written by Moliere and was adapted by Timothy Mooney.
After the show, we got to sit down with Charles Holmes who plays Tartuffe as well as Amy Scheide who plays Elmire. We chat about talking in rhyme, creating your character, their upcoming appearance at ConCarolinas and how a 400-year old play still resonates today.
Tartuffe is showing at the Duke Energy Theater in Spirit Square in Charlotte from April 20th – 29th. It is presented by Shakespeare Carolina under the artistic direction of Chris O’Neill. Tickets are $20.
